FabMetals, Inc. is constructing a new 40,000-square-foot building at its New Carlisle location in order to keep up with expanding business. The project is expected to be completed by October 1, 2019.
The company will have over 100,000 sq. ft. at its current site to place additional workers and equipment, said owner Tom Hensley:
We were too tight in the building that we have. There was machinery that we needed to purchase for our industry to stay competitive. Keeping up requires a lot of floor space and a lot of machinery.
The company purchased 20 acres in 2017 in order to build the new facility.
FabMetals, Inc. has invested $8 million into the expansion, which includes purchasing equipment such as laser cutters, press brakes, machining centers, turning centers and overhead cranes.
