FabMetals, Inc. is constructing a new 40,000-square-foot building at its New Carlisle location in order to keep up with expanding business. The project is expected to be completed by October 1.
The company will have a total of 100,000-square-feet at its current site to place additional workers and equipment, said owner Tom Hensley:
We were too tight in the building that we have. There was machinery that we needed to purchase for our industry to stay competitive. In order to keep up, it requires a lot of floor space and a lot of machinery.
The company purchased 20 acres in 2017 in order to build the new facility.
FabMetals, Inc. has invested $8 million into the expansion, which includes purchasing equipment such as laser cutters, press brakes, machining centers, turning centers and overhead cranes.
